The Scripture

The Bible, including all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, was inspired by the Holy Spirit and written without error.

+2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,  so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God

There is but one God, existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

+2 Corinthians 3:14

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Man

God created man in His image—and man in his purest form was innocent before God. As a result of the Fall, man was alienated from his Creator and incapable of pleasing God in and of themselves.

+Genesis 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Jesus Christ

God the Father, chose to send Jesus Christ into the world to reconcile sinners to Himself. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was then born of a virgin. He was God in the flesh, both true God and true man.

Jesus Christ lived a life free of sin and offered himself as a substitute to pay the penalty for our sins. He rose from the dead in the same body in which He lived and died. He ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father where He makes intercession for His own. He will return to earth personally, visibly, and bodily to judge all men and establish His kingdom.

+Colossians 1:15-16

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

Salvation

We are freed from the penalty for our sins not by our own works, but by the grace and undeserved favor of God alone. God declares forgiven and righteous all who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation.

+Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
